Films on the Rolling Stones and Justin Timberlake to premiere at international showcase
Mick Jagger got some welcome news on his 73rd birthday: a new documentary featuring he and his Rolling Stones bandmates has been accepted at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival.
The Rolling Stones Olé Olé Olé!: A Trip Across Latin America will hold its world premiere at the festival, TIFF organizers announced on Tuesday, the day Jagger turned 73. The film directed by Paul Dugdale follows the Stones on their tour this year of Latin America, which culminated in a massive show in Havana, Cuba. This wasn't the only prominent music documentary to lock down a spot in the festival.

Oscar-winning director Jonathan Demme will unveil his film J.T. + The Tennessee Kids, a concert doc that captures the final performances of Justin Timberlake's "20/20 Experience" world tour, which wrapped up in Las Vegas on January 2, 2015.
"The 20/20 Experience" tour -- Timberlake's fifth concert tour -- reportedly grossed an astonishing $231 million. The final performances took place the MGM Grand.
The Dugdale and Demme docs were the only two nonfiction films announced by TIFF on Tuesday as it revealed the first of 65 films to play in the festival, which runs from Sept. 8-18. Another 200-250 features and short length films will be announced in the coming days and weeks. The opening night film will be the world premiere of Antoine Fuqua's remake of The Magnificent Seven, starring Chris Pratt, Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke, Matt Bomer and Peter Sarsgaard. TIFF evidently is an agreeable venue for Fuqua and Washington, who premiered The Equalizer there in 2014. For more details on the TIFF lineup click here.
Chris Pratt seems excited by the prospect of heading to Toronto with The Magnificent Seven.
