Louie Psihoyos film plays in theaters on September 16 - for one night only Some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment are turning out in support of The Game Changers, the new documentary that makes a strong argument for going vegan. The New York premiere Monday night drew tennis great Serena Williams and husband Alexis Ohanian, Dr. Oz and other celebrities, as well as director Louie Psihoyos and producer James Wilks. Psihoys and Wilks were in LA last week for the west coast premiere of the film at the Arclight Hollywood, which Nonfictionfilm.com covered [see photos below]. Makers of The Game Changers hope to dispel the myth that it's macho to eat meat and that elite athletes need a diet of animal protein to stay strong. Contrary to that thinking, the film highlights the example of numerous professional and Olympic athletes who have gone vegan, resulting in improved their health and performance. The Game Changers is playing in theaters for a single night next Monday, September 16. Check out Fathom Events for information and tickets. |
