Nelson George's film on groundbreaking ballet star Misty Copeland has been named the best documentary of the year by the African-American Film Critics Association.
A Ballerina's Tale will receive the honor at an awards ceremony in Hollywood on February 10. Joining A Ballerina's Tale in the winners' circle is Straight Outta Compton, which was named Best Picture. Ryan Coogler was named Best Director for his work on Creed. Click here for a full list of winners.
