Hulu film directed by Stephen Maing will be released in theaters August 24 Hulu and IFC Films have released a new trailer for the upcoming documentary Crime + Punishment, a hard-hitting film on 12 NYPD officers who challenged the department's policing policies. Stephen Maing's documentary, which earned a Special Jury Prize for Social Impact at the Sundance Film Festival, will hit theaters August 24. "Amidst a landmark class action lawsuit over illegal policing quotas, Maing chronicles the real lives and struggles of a group of black and Latino whistleblower cops and the young minorities they are pressured to arrest," the distributors wrote in a statement.
