Some of the documentary world's most accomplished filmmakers are set to judge their peers competing in the Tribeca Film Festival.

Two-time Oscar winner Barbara Kopple and Emmy winner R.J. Cutler are among the high-profile talents who will serve on the World Documentary Competition jury. They will be joined on the panel by David Wilson, filmmaker and co-founder of the True/False Film Fest, filmmaker Alma Har'el, and Anne Thompson, editor-at-large at IndieWire.

In its 16 year history, Tribeca's esteemed world documentary competition has showcased discovery directors, future Oscar nominees, and legendary filmmakers.

Tribeca also bestows a Best New Documentary Director award, an honor named for the late Albert Maysles. Five distinguished jurors will choose the winner in that category: filmmaker Amy Berg, actress Alice Eve, documentary producer/director Marilyn Ness, actor/producer Zachary Quinto and Shaul Schwarz, a photojournalist and filmmaker.

A separate five-person jury will judge Tribeca's Storyscapes category, which features VR films and installations. Among the jurors there are Charlotte Cook, a co-creator and executive producer of Field of Vision, and Sarah Wolozin, director of the MIT Open Documentary Lab.

Actress Priyanka Chopra, star of ABC's Quantico, actress Olivia Thirlby, and actor Brendan Fraser are among the jurors for Tribeca's Documentary and Student Visionary competitions.

The winners of each category will be announced at the Tribeca Film Festival Awards ceremony on April 27 at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center.
