Nobel Prize-winning singer-songwriter Bob Dylan has been the focus of numerous documentaries including the landmark Dont Look Back by D.A. Pennebaker and Martin Scorsese's No Direction Home.

Trouble No More -- the latest documentary to center on the iconic recording artist -- will play in theaters for a single night on Thursday (November 2). Jennifer Lebeau directed the film which is built around concerts Dylan performed in 1980 during his Gospel music phase. It's not simply a concert film, however. Trouble No More features Oscar-nominated actor Michael Shannon playing the role of a preacher.

The performance footage is interspersed with sermons written by Luc Sante and beautifully delivered by Michael Shannon.

--From a press release announcing the theatrical debut of Trouble No More
"This very special film consists of truly electrifying video footage, much of it thought to have been lost for decades and all newly restored, shot at shows in Toronto and Buffalo in late April, early May of 1980," according to a press release issued on behalf of Columbia Records/Legacy Recordings and film distributor Abramorama. "The performance footage is interspersed with sermons written by Luc Sante and beautifully delivered by Michael Shannon. More than just a concert film, Trouble No More is a one of a kind film experience."

The documentary will play at Landmark Theatre locations in New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia and San Francisco. But for Dylan fans who can't make it to the Thursday screenings, there is good news. The film will be released on Friday (November 3) as a bonus DVD with the deluxe box set of recordings "Trouble No More: The Bootleg Series Vol. 13/1979-1981."
